Welcome to the Mountain Communities SPCA website!

BBQ Fundraiser Aug 17 2014

Our mission is to help abandoned, stray, and neglected dogs and cats in the Frazier Mountain communities, by finding temporary foster homes, arranging permanent adoptions, or transporting to other rescues and shelters that work in partnership with us.  We also provide spay/neuter to local pets at an affordable price, and offer education on the humane treatment of animals.   Our fund raising events, such as 'Dog Days of Summer" help to finance our efforts.

We are located where Kern, Los Angeles, and Ventura Counties meet at the southern end of the San Joaquin Valley in Central California.

Helping your pet get spayed or neutered:

We will always try to help a pet in need, when we can.  We have a meager treasury, which allows us to consider assistance for spay and neuter procedures for dogs on a case by case basis.  We can also help you pay for your cat's spay or neuter, and transport her/him to a clinic, if transportaion is a problem.

We invite you to contact us if your pet needs spay/neutering.  We say yes every time we can and that depends on the treasury.

Donations Now Being Collected at our MC SPCA Thrift Store!

We are now accepting donated household items at our Thrift Store located in Frazier Park.  We have a wonderful old home that has several rooms stocked with generous donations from our community members.  It's located across the street from Frazier Park Pharmacy, between Alpine Lumber and the old Medical Clinic.  The store hours are 10 am to 4 pm, Tuesday through Saturday.  But, please phone 245-2400 prior to dropping off your gently used donations.  This way, you can be sure that we are open.  Come inside the store and let us know you have donations, so that we can help you bring your items inside.   If you need help transporting your donations to the MC SPCA Thrift Store, please contact us at 245-3035 and we can help you.

Thank you, again, for all your support.
